Our Mission
To engage with the land in a way that leaves it better than when we arrived, nourishes our whole being, and adds to the ʻāina as a whole, while striving to craft high-quality chocolate.
Who We Are
Ocean Grace Farms is a 3-acre cacao orchard located in the ahupuaʻa of Kau in North Kona on Hawaiʻi Island, nestled on the slopes of Hualālai. We are deeply committed to the principle of reciprocity, growing holistically in harmony with nature, and fostering biodiversity to produce the highest quality food, medicine, and chocolate.
Our natural farming practices focus on building soil and plant fertility through a closed-loop system that utilizes indigenous microorganisms and natural fertilizers such as fermented plant juices and fish amino acids.
In a time when even the sacred has become commercialized, we believe in the importance of honoring the cacao tree, a sacred plant whose history dates back at least 5,300 years to the Mayo-Chinchipe in Ecuador. Our intention is to always respect and honor this plant, the legacy of those who came before us, and the community in which we are blessed to live.
