Volunteer with Us
Come join us in the joys of mālama ʻāina and cacao harvesting! Our volunteers help with the first steps of turning cacao into chocolate—from picking pods to cracking them open, all while connecting with ʻohana and community.
Who Can Volunteer?
Friends and family of all ages are welcome! We love creating a space for keiki to get involved, but please keep a close eye on them at all times. There are some hazards on site, including a swimming pool, uneven ground, and pukas (holes) throughout the orchard. Safety is our priority, and we want everyone to enjoy themselves while staying aware of their surroundings.
What to Expect:
Harvest Days: We harvest once a month, typically on a Saturday to make it easier for families to join.
Our next harvest is scheduled for Saturday, May 17th (subject to confirmation).
We’ll send out a confirmation email by May 10th.
Schedule:
9:00 AM: We start harvesting cacao from our orchard. Please note, the terrain is very uneven with lots of pukas—so sturdy shoes and good balance are a must!
10:00 AM: We gather to crack the cacao pods.
Light lunch & refreshments will be provided, and we usually wrap up by 1:00–2:00 PM.
